Summer Hols and then there was three!

We had a fab time in Spain. The weather was beautiful - "It's summer every day," said Lou!!
This is on the way down to the beach at Nerja.

Now we have three bunnies. Amy came to be Cocoa's girlfriend. She lived in the conservatory for a few weeks until they'd had a few dates. Now they are living together and are quite happy!
When we got back from our hols, we went to visit my nephew. There was one baby bunny left needing a good home, so she came home with us. She is adorable and loves to snuggle on my shoulder.

New addition to the family

This is Cocoa, our new bunny. He loves to hop about in the garden, digging here and there. He came to live with us on Saturday.

Birthday and things.

I got this lovely bouquet from hubby and some lilies from the girls for my birthday on Wednesday. Hubby and I took the day off work and went shopping to Newcastle. I hadn't been for ages. We had lunch at Cafe Royale and went to visit VV Rouleaux - which, to my horror, has gone! When we got home I went to bed. I've had a cold all week. We had a tea party with the girls we had sponge cake with buttercream and raspberry jam.
I got a nice surprise today in the shape of a parcel from Wisconsin. My swap partners in the Be My Valentine and One Stitch - for whatever reasons they had - flaked out and didn't send me anything. A Rapid Response Angel was despatched and I got my One Stitch parcel.
Thanks chocolatesheep! I love everything!

Sunderland and Blogger Awards

Yesterday we went to the National Glass Centre on the banks of the Wear. I could'nt bring myself to walk over the glass roof. The museum is very interesting. We looked at one of my hairs under a microscope, it was fascinating. We also saw some uni students glass blowing. The kids enjoyed the cafe the most I think!
I pursuaded hubby to take me to Kemps on the way home. We got there just before closing so I did a mad dash to pick what I wanted. I got some bargain Cotton Rope for a Rav swap and some RYC Luxury Cotton DK for moi - in green of course.

And the Kreativ Blogger Award goes to:

Ysolda for her fabulous designs and gorgeous blog.

Ambermoggie for all of those lovely socks.

More Chick Pics

We went for a walk with Ozzy yesterday and came across some chickens in an allotment. They looked nice and cosy with their plumes all fluffed up. I was losing feeling in my fingers.

WiP

My current WiP is Rose's Wrist Warmers. The pattern is based on some wrist warmers that Rose Tyler wears in an Episode of Doctor Who. I'm really enjoying this pattern. I can feel it in my shoulders and hands though. I'm up to the thumb part.
Along with some yarn for my Be My Valentine swap partner, I bought this lovely material and I picked u this cotton yarn at Durham market. I hope to make something for Lou. Maybe a skirt and knitted top? There's a lovely pattern on Rav for a dress with knitted top but it was for aran weight. I think I saw a nice skirt on one of my blogroll blogs. It was a simple shape with an elasticated waist.
The snow has almost gone now. It's just a bit icy on our road. I need to go to the shops soon. Can't be bothered at the moment, I'm nice and snug with the laptop on my knee!

Snow and Four Poofs and a Piano

Well they said it was going to snow- and it has! The sun is shining at the moment.
Last night we went to see Four Poofs and a Piano at the Gala Theatre. The show was amazing. The costumes were excellent and the singing and dancing superb. The best thing was that I got to meet them sfter the show. I got a signed CD and my photo taken with them. I was suprise b the number of OAPs there. I wouldn't have thought it would be their cup of tea but bless their popsocks, they were singing and clapping along with the rest of us.
